Concept and Ability
Energy Consulting Services, Inc. was formed in 1981 to provide industrial and commercial energy engineering and the sale and service of energy conserving products. Our energy engineering expertise includes the design, fabrication and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, energy usage assessment, energy usage litigation, system cost/benefit analysis, NYC DOB LL87 & LL84 filing, system life cycle costing and construction management. Some specific projects include: refrigeration control systems, HVAC control systems, commercial solar PV systems, fuel cell systems, battery storage systems, water turbine systems, co-generation systems.
The president of Energy Consulting Services, Jack Davidoff, has extensive field engineering design and trouble-shooting experience and is uniquely qualified to provide a broad spectrum of energy engineering services.

Our company's President, Mr. Jack Davidoff, is a certified energy manager (CEM), existing building commissioning professional (EBCP) and registered with the NYC DOB. He has over fourty years experience in the refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning field and over thirty five years experience in the energy services field. Mr. Davidoff has provided his expertise to the United States Department of Energy, Brookhaven National Laboratory and developing countries throughout the word. Energy Consulting Services, Inc. brings together his experience and motivation to enable clients to benefit from innovative ideas and products.
Energy Consulting Services, Inc. is a fully insured and bonded service company with design, service and installation personnel available at flexible hours to work with your company's structure. Energy Consulting Services, Inc. prices its work on a time and/or material basis. The cost of service is outlined in our contract or bid work.

Jack Davidoff - President/Owner
Mr. Davidoff has over fourty years experience in the design and troubleshooting of control systems. He has specialized in energy engineering. His expertise includes: energy usage assessments, energy management system design, alternative energy projects and troubleshooting of refrigeration and HVAC control systems, utility rate structure analysis, energy usage litigation, system cost/benefit analysis, system life cycle costing and construction management. Mr. Davidoff is an alumnus of the University of Maryland. His B.S. undergraduate studies specialized in Air Pollution and Energy Assessment. His graduate mechanical engineering work specialized in Water Pollution. He is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers; American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. Mr. Davidoff is a Certified Energy Manager with accreditation from the Association of Energy Engineers. He is the past President and currently on the board of directors of the New York Chapter and was also the Northeast Region 1 Vice President of thousands of members of the national Association of Energy Engineers.
Mr. Davidoff worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory for the National Center for Analysis of Energy Systems. He did econometric computer modeling of energy policy alternatives. He was a member of President Carter’s Lesser Developed Countries Program in Egypt.
In 1981 Mr. Davidoff founded Energy Consulting Services, Inc. The company has completed millions of dollars of energy conservation projects since its inception.
In 1995 Mr. Davidoff founded ECS Electrical Contracting Services, Inc. This company provides expanded services as a licensed electrical contractor.
In 2006 Mr. Davidoff became a member of the Town of Weston Energy Committee. He was involved with the development and review of various energy projects for the town including a fuel cell.
In 2007 he was appointed as a Weston town official to the Town Building Committee. This position has utilized his expertise to assist in the development and oversight to completion millions of dollars of construction projects that include: boiler, window and roof replacements and ventilation upgrades.
